The Six Laws Of Abundance - Part 2
2. The Law of Planting
In the Law of Planting, the farmer must plant the seed first into the ground otherwise there will be no harvest. The same applies in the law of financial abundance. There is an order and a sequence.
2 Corinthians 9:10-11, it says, “now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
This is a promise from God that He will supply all our seeds (all our needs). Not only that, He will supply what is needed to grow the seeds. He will continue to increase the supply of seeds. The harvests will be plentiful for He is the one to enlarge the size of the harvests.
Before all these are possible, the seeds must be planted. This requires an act of faith, to trust that God will fulfil all that He promised. Giving requires us to give even before the fruits are yielded as declare in Luke 6:38 ; “Give and it shall be given unto you…”
Don’t wait till you are rich to give. We sow what we have (”he who supplies seed to the sower”) and not what we do not have. All it requires is for us to set things into motion in order to receive abundance in our lives.
Most important, God loves a “cheerful” giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
The word “cheerful” in Greek is where we get the word “hilarious”. If you replace the word “cheerful” with “hilarious”, it would mean God loves a hilarious giver. To be hilarious, there is no sign of negative, unwillingness, sadness but joy and laughter. This is literally what it means, to give with joy and laughter. A feeling of willingness to give without considering or holding back. This is what God is looking for in a giver.
